Mais um ano se encerra, eu creio e sempre procuro fazer um balanço de fim de ano. Acho que é importante parar um pouco, refletir, perceber os erros e acertos. Essa música não é minha favorita (na verdade acho-a a little boring..) Mas ela diz tudo:

Há muito tempo atrás fiz uma lista de músicas que considerava inesquecíveis e por incrível que pareça, ainda hoje todas elas são maravilhosas. Então resolvi fazer uma série de Top of the tops - considerando minhas preferências,é claro. Vocês concordam? Não? Deixe seu comentário.
1 - Time - Pink Floyd - essa música nos fala do tempo perdido, de oportunidades desperdiçadas e de sonho.
2 - Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd - sim! novamente, Pink Floyd, apresenta essa obra de arte para refletir sobre o vida e nossas escolhas.
3 - God put a smile upon your face - Coldplay - Essa é para levantar o astral, elevar a auto-estima, o título já diz tudo: Deus coloca um sorriso no seu rosto.
4 - Stop crying your heart out - Oasis -A música nos diz para parar de chorar, levantar e ter fé que tudo vai mudar e sua luz vai brilhar.
5 - Stuck in a moment - U2 - não sou lá muito fã deles, mas essa música entra nesta lista porque ela nos fala de estar preso em um momento e não conseguir sair dele e que devemos nos olhar, se recompor e lembrar que isso é apenas um momento e vai passar.
Algumas canções nos tocam a alma, nos faz refletir, aprender e até mesmo levar a mudanças de atitude.Essa canção da banda de rock progressivo YES (que ao contrário do que disse recentemente Peter Gabriel, não acho que seja fora de moda), é uma bela mensagem de reflexão. Somos o que escolhemos ser, mas podemos mudar, podemos dar uma chance e sermos vencendores.

É, chegou o dia 15 de Outubro, dia do professor, a profissão mais antiga do mundo, que deveria ser respeitada, valorizada, amada, invejada. Infelizmente isso nem sempre acontece e não nos deixa desistir de lutar, de acordar buscando novas saídas, de pesquisar e levar sempre o melhor para nossas crianças. Porque ser professor é não desistir, não perder as esperanças, não relaxar enquanto não ter certeza de que todos aprenderam, por que só assim chegaremos em casa com certeza de que cumprimos nossa missão e sabemos que amanhã tem mais e mais e mais... Contei para vocês sobre minha vitrolinha e minha primeira música do Styx "Babe", mas sabe porque resolvi estudar inglês? Apresento a culpada: Nikka Costa - eu a vi cantando no Fantástico e simplesmente amei, queria cantar igual a ela, então no meu aniversário de 9 anos, ganhei de presente o disco dela e foi cantoria na casa toda! Aprendi todas as músicas, cantava no banheiro, sala, na escola, para as visitas e para todos os vizinhos! Cantar mesmo, eu não sei, mas aprendi muitas palavras novas e treinava minha pronúncia imitando Nikka Costa.
Hello, friends! Você gosta de música e inglês? Quando começei a estudar inglês, eu tinha uma vitrolinha laranja (aquelas que pareciam uma malinha), ela ficava ligada o dia todo, quando tinha as melhores a lista das mais votadas do dia, eu grudava o ouvido e com algumas folhas de papel almaço, escrevia todas as palavras que eu entendia e assim, eu aprendi muito. Era um tempo que não existia o vagalume que você vai lá e pega a letra e tradução das músicas, a gente tinha que realmente sentar e ouvir até aprender. Sei que a tentação é grande, mas listei algumas das muitas vantagens:
1- Aumenta seu vocabulário
2 - Sua capacidade de compreensão auditiva será fantástica-você terá habilidade para compreender as pronúnicas mais complicadas.
3 - Orgulho- quando você consegue sozinho compreender e aprender uma música, dá uma sensação de conquista muito grande!
Então não ceda a vontade de ver a letra da música, descubra sozinho!

Todos os anos do mês de Abril (aniversário de William Shakespeare) apresento à meus alunos a partir do 5ºano do ensino fundamental um pouco da história, poemas e peças do autor. Esse ano, o projeto foi mais ousado: Participamos da abertura do Festival Shakespeare promovido pela UFPI, sob coordenação da Dra. em literatura inglesa Profa. Socorro Reis.
